Careerpilot is what we use at the college to record and monitor student careers engagement and activity.

It also provides a wealth of information about all of the different options or ‘progression pathways’ available to students both during their time at KMC and after they leave.

Careerpilot also has a Parent Zone which is very comprehensive.

Get The Jump  brings together all the choices that are available to you at post-16 and post-18, it can help you make an informed decision about your best next step.

You can always contact The National Careers Service wherever you are with your decisions, call them on 0800 100 900 during their opening times or use webchat to talk to a qualified Careers Advisor online

Volunteering

Volunteering is a hugely valuable and rewarding experience both for the volunteers and for the organisations and communities they support.

Dedicating your time as a volunteer helps you make new friends, expand your network, and boost your social skills. It also shows prospective employers that you have a sense of social responsibility which is a highly desirable quality. Having volunteering experience on your CV will make your application stand out when you start applying for jobs.

Whether you’re involved in a local community project, a research task or part of a youth group, the benefits of volunteering can be enormous. Knowing you make a difference and have helped others is empowering and gives you a natural sense of purpose and accomplishment.
