Further Education Courses

Our Level 2 and 3 full-time courses are equivalent to A Levels and are an excellent alternative when students have finished their GCSEs and want a new direction.

The majority of Kingston Maurward college courses are land-based, which means that students spend a lot of their time outdoors – everything from Equine Studies and Arboriculture, to Military Preparation and Conservation, …our students like to get their hands dirty!

Typically full-time courses are 3 days per week giving students ample opportunity to get work experience in the industry alongside their vocational education which is seen so favourably by future employers.

So what are you waiting for…come and explore or stunning 750-acre campus and find out what your future will be.

Being an apprentice gives you the opportunity to gain a recognised qualification and develop professional skills while earning a salary. As employees, apprentices work alongside experienced staff to gain job-specific skills.

Off the job, usually on a day-release basis, apprentices receive training to work towards nationally-recognised qualifications. Anyone living in England, over 16 years old and not in full-time education can apply.

Quality is key to Apprenticeships. All Apprenticeships must be at least 12 months long and lead to a national qualification that is respected by employers around the world.

Sometimes the best opportunities are right on your doorstep and our degree-level vocational courses are a prime example. Take advantage of minimising living expenses by studying closer to home and benefit from some of the most stunning natural resources in the country.

Our land-based college has such a special place in the life of the countryside. Not only are we unique in our subject base, but we also perform extraordinarily well against many larger institutions.

We offer an inspiring environment where you can study a specialist degree in courses in subjects that relate to modern, land-based industries, conservation and the rural economy – subjects that will be of real value in developing your career.
