Award in Agricultural Tractor Driving and Related Operations (QCF)
A five day course which is intended for those who have some basic tractor driving ability and who wish to achieve the nationally recognised City & Guilds (NPTC) Certificate of Competence in Tractor Driving and Handling. The fifth day is normally the test day, unless further skills development is required.
You will receive instruction to the NPTC standard in all aspects of tractor handling including:
Trailer work - hitching, unhitching and reversing
Basic PTO safety
Safe working practices
Three point linkage
PTO use and safety
You will be advised to take the test at the end of the course or after a period of practical skills development on your own farm.
