This apprenticeship is ideal if you are working in an administrative role and wish to develop your skills and progress your career. Administrators work independently and as part of a team, developing, implementing, maintaining and improving a wide range of administrative services that support the business’ success. They have a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied in all sectors. This includes small and large businesses alike; from the public sector, private sector and charitable sector.



Level 3 Business Administrator

Course Content

You will be required to undertake and have an understanding of a number of different core skills, knowledge and behaviours in order to complete this apprenticeship. These include: Using IT systems to write emails, create proposals and produce spreadsheets Maintaining records and files How to build positive working relationships Communications skills Resource planning Project management techniques If you do not already hold level 2 functional skills in maths and English (GCSE grade 4 or C), you will need to achieve this level prior to taking the End Point Assessment. Delivery of this course is in the workplace, with weekly workshops held at college.

Entry Requirements

GCSE Grade 4 or C in maths and English or level 2 functional skills in maths and English. Entry is subject to a successful interview and you will undertake an initial assessment in maths and English regardless of previous qualifications. You must be working under a suitable and relevant contract of employment for a minimum of 30 hours a week. If you do not have an employer, we may be able to help you find one.
