This qualification is perfect for you if you would like to persue a career working with animals, developing your practical skills as well as building essential knowledge to enable you to progress into higher education or employment. We have a wide range of animals including small mammals, companion animals, exotic species and livestock whilst set in the beautiful Dorset countryside.
This course requires an industry placement with a minimum 315hrs in the first year of study and 150hrs of work experience in the second year of study, enabling beneficail experience to go onto your Curriculum Vitae or personal statement.

Animal husbandry including feeding and accommodation maintainence
Wildlife, ecology, conservation and rehabilitation
Behaviour, health and welfare
Animal sciences and nutrition
Pet store, kennel and cattery design and management
Estate skills
Livestock
Avian and exotic husbandry

Entry Requirements

4 GCSEs Grade C/4 or above to include English and maths. Science GCSE mimium of a triple grade 5 Experienceof working with animals.
