Course Title: Level 2 Welding, Fabrication and Blacksmithing
Course Code: AG213

This course follows on from the Level 1 Welding, Fabrication & Blacksmithing course, and will further develop your skills.

You will study for a City & Guilds Performing Engineering Operations (PEO) Level 2 qualification and a City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Engineering.

A final craft item is produced and shown at the Kingston Maurward Show in June.

There will be an opportunity to undertake the NPTC forge Certification. Students will be expected to produce the required test piece in their own time but assessment will take place at the College.*

Course Content

Arc and MIG welding
Further TIG welding
Gas cutting
Safe use of tools
Use of the forge
Blacksmithing tools
One day work experience is an essential element of the course.
