This is an ideal opportunity to develop your interest and skills in caring for a wide variety of animals and their environment whilst preparing you for employment or progression to further courses in a beautiful setting.
This course contains a mix of lectures, demonstrations, projects and practical work providing you with the skills and knowledge to either enter employment or continue on in education.
This course requires at least 150hrs of work experience with an external employer.

Course Content

Topics covered include:
Aniaml husbandry, looking after a range of animals including companion, small mammals, birds, reptiles, invertebrates and livestock.
Behaviour and handling and grooming of animals
Animal biology
English and math GCSE as necessary
