4 GCSEs minimum grade 3/2 or D/E, including English and maths OR Functional Skills at Level 1 OR a Level 1 qualification in construction or related area OR mature applicants with related practical experience. Applicants without formal construction qualifications will be asked to take part in a practical skills assessment at interview. You will need energy and enthusiasm for construction and will be required to complete a work placement within the industry. Tetanus protection is recommended.
Intermediate Apprenticeship in Property Maintenance Operative Level 2 or 3 courses in allied trades Facilities management courses
Apprenticeship /Trainee level employment. With further training: in Construction and allied trades.

Cost of optional CSCS card - approximately £70. £50 annual contribution towards materials.
Basic stationery - pens, pencils, ruler and eraser, A4 lever arch files, calculator. Protective overalls, work gloves and steel toe-capped boots - all protective equipment will be inspected by the course instructor. Practical clothing suitable for the weather conditions necessary at all times. College branded Polo shirts and sweatshirts and cargo trousers are available for purchase at College.
