Combining a mixture of theory and practical, this is a very hands-on qualification ideally suited to someone who wishes to investigate a career in arboriculture and perhaps study further. No previous knowledge is required, but a willingness to learn new skills and develop knowledge of the world of arboriculture is needed. This a basic introductory course covering a whole range of skills and knowledge around trees, shrubs, machinery and other countryside skills.

No formal entry requirements. You will need to be interested in a career in trees and their maintenance and be willing to learn new skills and undertake practical tasks. Tetanus protection is recommended.
