Learn the basic skills, knowledge and understanding of working in agriculture and the countryside and prepare for employment or progression to a more advanced course, or an apprenticeship.

Assessment takes place throughout the year and support with developing numeracy, literacy, study skills, IT and vocational skills is available.
City & Guilds Level 1 Diploma in Land Based Studies
Health and Safety for Land-based Industries
Farm animal husbandry
Introduction to crop production
Tractor driving, machinery operation and maintenance
Practical countryside skills
English and Maths
4 GCSEs grade 2/E or above, including English and maths.
Interest and enthusiasm in working in the land-based industries is essential.
Other experience within the land-based industries will also be considered.

Level 2 Certificate in Agriculture
Level 2 Technical Certificate in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation
Intermediate Apprenticeship in Agriculture
Intermediate Apprenticeship in Environmental Conservation

Working for an agricultural contractor
