C&G Level 2 Diploma in Land Based Technology
This course is delivered in our workshops with related knowledge sessions. Course content consists of units covering the following topics:
Applied mechanical principles
Tools and equipment
Welding and fabrication
Material preparation and assembling
Servicing and maintenance of land-based equipment.
4 GCSEs at grade 3 / D or above, including English and maths. Interest in agricultural and horticultural machinery. Work placement.
Level 3 Land-based Technology course Apprenticeship in Agricultural Engineering Employment
Service mechanic in dealership/rental (farming, forestry, civil engineering, horticulture) Mechanic on farms, forestry, estates, golf courses Progression to Army Engineering training, civil engineering, logistics within the food industry and any other sectors of the engineering industry

Assessment fees for some additional qualifications, ususally between £70 and £120 per qualification for certificates of competence. For some additional qualifications, a contribution towards the cost of training may also be required.
