A Teaching and Learning Intermediate Apprenticeship will enable you to work under the close supervision of a class teacher. Your duties will vary, you could find yourself supervising arts and crafts activities, helping with outings, or reading to the class.

Child & Young Person Development Safeguarding the welfare of Children and Young People Communication and professional relationships with children, young people and adults Equality, diversity and inclusion in work with children and young people Help improve own and team practice in schools Maintain and support relationships with children and young people Support Children and Young People’s health & safety Support Children and Young People’s positive behaviour Support learning activities Level 2 English Functional Skills/GCSE and Level 1 Mathematics and ICT Functional Skills/GCSE if required.

Next Steps

There are no formal entry requirements. GCSE maths and English Grade A*-C would be an advantage. However, where required, Functional Skills will be completed. You will need to find suitable relevant employment in a school setting.
