The Foundation Degree in Tourism Park Management is a course designed specifically for the next generation of owners and managers in the UK tourism park industry. It is the only course in the UK that tailors standard business practices to holiday parks to ensure business continues to succeed. The course focuses on personal development within the tourism parks industry and aims to provide learners with the skills and knowledge appropriate to management of a park. It enables learners to enhance career prospects and gives them the academic depth to pursue further study should they wish. The course, which can be studied around work commitments, covers key topics from business strategy and legislation to managing health and safety and embracing new technology.
The range of units offered will provide the learner with underpinning knowledge and assist them to acknowledge their personal strengths and overcome their weaknesses. They will also acquire a range of transferable skills such as use of IT, conducting research and report writing. Each unit includes a week of teaching and an associated assignment to be completed between units.
