The key route following the foundation degree is the BSc (Hons) Animal Behaviour and Welfare top up year at Kingston Maurward College. Other colleges and univerisities also offer similar final year courses.
This qualification offers excellent employment opportunities in the following areas: animal welfare organisations, assurance, inspection and enforcement agencies, wildlife conservation organisations, animal collections, laboratory technicians, animal behaviour consultancy and training. Graduates have progressed to postgraduate qualifications in active areas of animal welfare research. Recent graduate outcomes surveys show that 100% of our graduates are in employment or further study.

There will be an additional cost towards industry visits and study tours. 7 day field trip to Lundy Island (Behavioural Ecology) estimated cost £275 Some day trips may have entrance fee costs c£15-30.
