BSc (Hons) - Animal Behaviour and Welfare
The programme is designed as a specific continuation of the FdSc in Animal Behaviour and Welfare at Kingston Maurward College. However, applications are warmly welcomed from external applicants with qualifications in an appropriate range of animal behaviour and welfare related subjects at Foundation Degree or HND level. Entry requirements are for a Pass grade at Level 5. Application through UCAS.
The key route following the foundation degree is the BSc (Hons) Animal Behaviour and Welfare top up year at Kingston Maurward College. Other colleges and univerisities also offer similar final year courses.

There will be an additional cost towards industry visits and study tours. 5 day field trip to Lundy Island (Behavioural Ecology) estimated cost £275 Some day trips may have entrance fee costs c£15-30.
This qualification offers excellent employment opportunities in the following areas: animal welfare organisations, assurance, inspection and enforcement agencies, wildlife conservation organisations, animal collections, laboratory technicians, animal behaviour consultancy and training. Graduates have progressed to postgraduate qualifications in active areas of animal welfare research. Recent graduate outcomes surveys show that 100% of our graduates are in employment or further study.
