The riding programme at this level may be taken with the stable management or separately. This course is intended as a brush up of skills prior to taking the BHS assessment.

BHS Stage 3 stable management training programme is an excellent progression from the Stage 2 course. It is a packed practical course for those wishing to become professional equestrians and looking to take on a more supervisory role. It covers all aspects of general care and management regimes, together with preparing and caring for fit horses.

Feeding
Stable design
Fittening
Shoeing
General handling
Grassland management
Saddlery
Anatomy and physiology
Horse health
Lungeing

Entry Requirements

Enthusiasm and willing to learn new skills. For the care courses, you should have achieved BHS Stage 2 Care and Lunge.
