The riding training programme may be taken with the stable management or separately. Learners need to have already gained a basic, balanced and secure riding position as required in Stage 1 and should be capable of jumping small fences upto 2'6".

Tacking up from 7.30 to 8pm, Riding 8pm to 8.45 and untacking from 8.45 to 9pm.

Course Content

Our British Horse Society Stage 2 training programme is an excellent progression from the Stage 1 course. This course is intended as a brush up of skills prior to taking the BHS assessment.
The riding course will include:
Working to improve balance and security
Ride school figures using the correct aids
Ride safely in company
Ride independently in walk, trot and canter, with and without stirrups
Jumping position
Jumping a course of fences

Entry Requirements

Enthusiasm and willingness to learn new skills. BHS Stage 1 riding asessment must be completed prior to booking this course. Weight limit for riding is 13.5 stones. This course is intended as a brush up of skills prior to taking the BHS assessment.
