This will give you a thorough understanding of general management and requirements of horses' health and well-being. This course is intended as a brush up of skills prior to taking the BHS Stage 1 assessment.



Training towards BHS Horse Care Assessment

Course Content

Our British Horse Society Stage stable management training programme gives you a thorough understanding of the basic principles of horse care. It is ideal for those wishing to become professional equestrians, preparing them for working in the equine industry. It is also excellent for those who just want to gain a better understanding of horse care and improve their practical horsemanship skills. The course will include:
Horse behaviour
Basic grass care
Watering and feeding
Foot and shoeing
Anatomy and handling
Horse health

Please note there is a discount,if Stage 1 Riding is booked with Stage 1 Care, the cost would be £320 for both courses.

Entry Requirements

Enthusiastic and willing to learn new skills. Basic experience of working with horses is essential and the drive to achieve a BHS stage 1 assessment in the near future.
