The Team Leading Apprenticeship provides an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a team leader. It will also help you to develop new practical, motivational and day-to-day management techniques. You will be at the front end of an employer's business, regularly assisting both staff and customers. Duties will vary but in most cases you will be assisting the manager in leading the team - whether that's by organising a staff rota, handling a customer complaint or keeping things running smoothly in the manager's absence.

An Advanced Apprenticeship in Management will develop the interpersonal skills and knowledge needed to improve performance and career progression.

Planning, allocating and monitoring work and performance Managing conflict/ Solving problems Briefing teams and senior management Supporting team members Agreeing and managing budgets Managing projects Employer Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) Functional Skills in English and/or maths depending upon GCSE achievement.

Next Steps

You will be required to find suitable relevant employment. Some prior experience in a managerial or team leader role and GCSE English and maths grade A*-C would be an advantage.
