The Access to Higher Education Diploma is one of the key entry routes to degree level study in the UK for learners over 19 years. Adult learners with a key aim to gain entry to a Higher Education course but who have not studied to the required level to be considered for degree courses will need to complete an Access to HE Diploma.

Kingston Maurward is a Land-based college that offers foundation degrees in life and environment sciences, and hence its Access to HE course reflects this.

The content of this course follows a purely science route in a broad range of subjects from biology, animal welfare, scientific method and statistical analysis. It also covers key areas for study skills development to prepare students for progression to university level such as research skills, presentation skills and examination preparation.

It is a full-time course requiring commitment from students with the fundamental aim of progressing to Higher Education. This course will eb taught over 2 days with an additional 1/2 days for GCSE English and maths as necessary.
