This year’s Apprenticeship Awards Evening at Kingston Maurward College was a resounding success with broad range of Apprentices and employers attending the celebration.
Guests were treated to a buffet dinner with addresses by Assistant Principal Andy Daw and Chair of Governors Jim Tirrell, followed by an introduction from MP Oliver Letwin.
Apprentices received awards in a diverse range of subjects including Animal Care, Arboriculture, Equine, Environmental Conservation, Horticulture, Butchery, IT, Retail & Customer Service, and Active Leisure and Learning.
The overall Apprentice of the Year award was presented to Jamie Wright who also received the Intermediate Agricultural Apprentice of the Year award sponsored by the Yeovil Agricultural Society.
Assistant Principal Andy Daw said of the Awards Evening: “This is a real celebration of success for the apprentices, their families, the employers and staff at Kingston Maurward College.
“Apprenticeships are demanding, require hard work and continue to grow, and this event underlines that success both in the region and nationally.”
