With more and more households keeping chickens, it was only a matter of time before other livestock
moved out of the countryside and into urban areas. On the 1st April, Kingston Maurward College have announced that they have successfully bred miniature Aberdeen Angus cows small enough to keep in your back garden!
The ‘Mini-Angus’ are approximately 15cm tall and are expected to produce a meat yield equivalent to 1 burger at maturity.
Whilst these cows are not yet commercially available as pets, the College expects them to be widely
available by 2018.
Adorable miniature pets for the family? Or the future of self-sustainable living? Or April Fool 😉
