Intermediate Apprenticeship in Leisure Operations

DSC_0669smallThe Intermediate Apprenticeship in Leisure Operations is ideal for park employees working in an operational role – whether they are a team leader, a ‘practical doer’, or they work in reception, administration, retail or leisure.

The Intermediate Apprenticeship framework is made up of four parts:

NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Operational Services (competence element – being able to do work tasks properly).

This NVQ is a specially developed work based qualification designed by the parks industry to prove the competence of the workforce. It is based on National Occupational Standards – specifications of what work is actually done, and to what standard. It is ‘proof of competence’ and assesses the skills and knowledge employees need to perform their job role safely and effectively. Because each park is different the qualification offers a very wide choice of optional units, as well as the core essentials of health & safety, teamwork, customer service and equality and diversity.
