This year’s Kingston Maurward College Prize Giving Ceremony celebrated another successful year with 694 students completing their courses, among which 64 special awards were made.
The ceremony recognises the achievements of all full-time students completing courses during the academic year, and rewards outstanding students in each subject area.
During the celebrations spectators welcomed guest speaker Rich Whincup who gave an inspirational talk about his life experiences.
Kingston Maurward College Principal, Luke Rake, said: “As I reach the end of my first year at Kingston Maurward, it’s with immense pleasure that I am able to reflect on the inspiring journey our students have been on together. I was thrilled to be able to celebrate the achievements of our students during our Annual Prize Giving where we were joined by many parents, local dignitaries and councillors.
“Students from across the County were honoured for their work during the year, with many demonstrating the attitudes we would all expect to see in our young people today; perseverance, determination and an unshakable belief in doing the right thing. They did themselves proud, and we’re already looking forward to next year when even more students will become part of the Kingston Maurward family.”
