Membership of Kingston Maurward Equestrian

Kingston Maurward College Equestrian Centre runs a membership scheme which enables you to benefit from:

  • Discounted lesson prices (see current price list)
  • ‘Early bird’ booking opportunities
  • Block bookings

Membership is renewable annually.

2020 Prices

Adults: 12 month £67.00
Juniors*: 12 month £57.00

1 adult and  1 junior*: 12 month £94.00

1 adult and 2 juniors*: 12 month £136.00

*Junior rates apply to those under the age of 16.

To take out Kingston Maurward Equestrian Membership, please complete the Membership Application Form and return to Kingston Maurward Equestrian Centre at Manor Stables with the appropriate fee.

All Kingston Maurward Equestrian members will be issued with a member’s card which must be shown as proof of membership on payment. Block booking cards will be available for members only.

Booking conditions

  • Anyone wishing to book a lesson or a hack will be required to have ½ hour riding assessment.
  • 24 hours notice of lesson cancellation is required, otherwise the full charge will be incurred.
  • All lessons are charged at time of booking.
  • In order for lesson to start on time please make sure you arrive 15 minutes before the start of your lesson

Adults Lessons

Why not become a member of the Kingston Maurward Pony Club?

Kingston Maurward Equestrian Centre is a centre for the Pony Club. Designed for children without their own ponies.

We run our Pony Club every Saturday.

Junior member session: 2pm – 3.30pm.

Senior member session: 3.30pm – 5pm.

The cost of each session is £18. The sessions consist of practical stable management / care activities and classroom-based theory work. We work towards a variety of different badges and tests.


Who can join?

Any young clients who wish to increase their knowledge of horsemanship and Stable Management.


How much will it cost?

There is an annual fee of £36 and forms can be download from the Pony Club website.


What do I get for my money?

A Membership Pack and badge

The quarterly Pony Club Magazine

Members are entitled to take part in all the Pony Club activities organised by Kingston Maurward Equestrian Centre.

Such as:
Achievement Badges, Riding & Road Safety Training, Activity Days, Annual Pony Club Camp, Competitions. Bronze, Silver and Gold Progressive Tests.

(There are separate charges for these days. See the Pony Club calendar page for the cost of each event).

Please note: we will require Kingston Maurward College Equestrian Centre Pony Club membership numbers with bookings.

Pony Club members are welcome to spend the day at the yard (from 10am) and with the cost of a full day is £25. Please ensure that your child is a member of the official Pony Club Organisation.

The Pony Club is an international voluntary youth organisation for young people interested in ponies and riding. Founded in England in 1929, and granted independent charitable status on 1st January 1997, there are around 345 Branches and 600 Centres in the UK alone. The Pony Club has been the starting point for a large majority of equestrian team members and medal winners.

The Pony Club is represented in no less than 27 countries with a worldwide membership exceeding 110,000 making it the largest association of young riders in the world.

All new clients with previous riding experience must attend a half hour riding assessment before having lessons/hacks. A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required in order to cancel a booking. Bookings can be rearranged.

1/2 hour assessment lesson  – £25.00

Private lessons

Please note that if you pay for a block booking you will not be automatically booked in for the next five lessons. You do need to book in each of your five lessons, however you do not need to do this immediately and you do not necessarily have to book for five constructive weeks.

If a child is moved up to an adult lesson they will be charged for the cost of an adult lesson even if they are under the age of 16.
