Transport and Residential
Students come to Kingston Maurward College from all over the county, and from neighbouring counties too. A range of bus routes provide easy and affordable transport to College on a daily basis, and for those who want to stay on site we have 50 student bedrooms.
Kingston Maurward College offers travel through a network of buses and minibuses along major routes. Our routes are created annually in response to demand during our recruitment year, usually covering key towns across the region. Although some of our transport has facilities for disabled access, we are happy to discuss alternative methods of transport for students with disabilities or require extra assistance. All students sign up to, and abide by, the Transport Code of Conduct.
If you follow the guidelines your journey to College will be safe and enjoyable. If you don’t keep to the Code of Conduct then your parents / carers and tutors will be informed and you may not be allowed to continue using College transport.
Parking code of conduct
If you are a student bringing a car or motorbike onto campus, you will be expected to read and sign a campus parking and vehicle use code of conduct and provide your vehicle details.
How much will transport cost?
We review our prices each year. Payments can be spread out across the year via standing order and all students can be issued with a payment schedule. Currently those students who attend College 3 days or more pay:
|1 day return charge||£10.00|
As a residential student you will find that living on site has many advantages, especially if this is your first time away from home. You will have the chance to live independently while still having the security of 24 hour support during term time and half term holidays should you need it. The skills you will learn by living in our accommodation will help prepare you for life after College. Residents under the age of 18 are encouraged to return to their family home at weekends wherever possible to maintain strong family links.
