HORT49a – Lecturer in Horticulture (Sport turf/green keeping)

Hours: 7.4 hours per week (1 day per week during term time)

Salary: £4,068.82 – £4,623.05 per annum (£24,043 – £27,318 per annum pro rata) which is Point 7c – 10d on the Academic Staff Salary Scale

Job Purpose: To deliver a high quality learning experience for apprentices and students wishing to develop their careers in horticulture

Vision: For this role, we are looking for an outstanding and enthusiastic lecturer to join our horticulture department. You will possess industry experience and be confident to deliver a number of units in theory and practical classes. You will need to have a well-developed interest in horticulture especially in turf management/maintenance. You will be a strong team player who is able to work with learners of all ages in the well-equipped classrooms, workshops and beautiful Kingston Maurward estate. You will be a good communicator, well organised and with a desire to develop the horticulture learning provision.

Status: Permanent and term time only 37 working weeks (paid for 44 weeks)
