Hours: 39 hours per week worked over Monday – Friday, with weekend glasshouse/nursery duties to be worked on a rota basis.

Salary: National Minimum Wage according to age. The National Living Wage will apply for those 25 and over.

Job Purpose: Together with a team of skilled gardeners, assist in the maintenance of the historically listed gardens and grounds which are used both for student instruction and as a visitor attraction.

Vision: Kingston Maurward Gardens and Animal Park are a well-established tourist attraction in Dorset attracting over 30,000 visitors a year.  The Gardens are grade II* listed and contain a huge variety of plants and trees with a lake, canals, broad sweeping lawns and formal gardens.  The gardens are tended by just 5 full time gardeners with help from students on various types of Horticulture courses.  We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed person to be part of our small gardens team. It is essential that you have experience in the safe use of horticultural machinery, grounds experience and a tractor driving qualification or the willingness to work towards.
