Hours: 37 hours per week, which may include weekend shift work during functions and events

Salary: £6,734 per annum (£3.50 per hour) paid in monthly instalments. This is the National Apprenticeship rate of pay for apprentices if they are either aged under 19 or aged 19 or over and in the first year of their apprenticeship.  Apprentices are entitled to the National Minimum (NMW) or National Living Wage (NLW) for their age if they are aged 19 or over and once they have completed the first year of their apprenticeship.  More information is also available on the government web site

Job Purpose: Primarily to support and assist the internal and external Events Co-ordinator in the promotion, administration and management of various events.  To assist with the day to day running of the Hospitality department as well as fulfilling all the requirements to successfully complete the Apprenticeship Framework.  This will include an NVQ Level 2, underpinning knowledge certificate, Functional Skills and Industry Qualifications.

Vision: We are looking for an enthusiastic person who is naturally outgoing to work within our Hospitality department, learning the skills required to go on to become a fully competent event co-ordinator.  You will be involved in providing high quality service to our students, staff and visitors to the campus.  A flexible and positive can do attitude is required.

Status: Fixed term post for 15 months or until the apprenticeship is completed, whichever is the earlier.
