Hours: During Term-Time:

An average of 7 hours per week Monday – Sunday to include:

  1. 1 night per week – 6 ‘active hours’ – 5.30pm – 11.30pm;
  2. 1 hour on-call Night Shift (between 11.30 pm – 8.30 am) for which you will be paid regardless of whether or not you are called out;
  3. One weekend per month by arrangement by rota. This requires you to provide a flexible commitment of 7 active hours each weekend day between 8.30 am and 11.30 pm.

Out of Term-Time:

There is an expectation that you will work up to 20 days during the College’s holiday periods. You will be paid at a flat rate (retainer) of £7.83 for one hour’s ‘on call’ shift, per day. You will be paid regardless of whether or not you are called out; for being on call.

Salary: National Living Wage

 Overnight accommodation may be provided on the College Campus for the better performance of your duties

Job Purpose: To assist the Senior Residential Warden in ensuring the welfare and safety of residential students

Vision: We are looking to recruit pro-active and enthusiastic individuals to assist the Senior Warden and team in looking after the welfare and safety of residential students on the Kingston Maurward campus. Duties will include both lone and team working and some administrative activities as required. You must have the ability to be reliable and responsive to alerts/emergencies and be committed to National Care Standards and the safety of young people.

This role may be suitable for a mature student.
