Hours: 37 Hours per week
Salary: £7,226 per annum (£3.75 per hour) paid in monthly instalments, which includes a 1.5% salary increase from 1st January 2019. £3.75 is the rate for apprentices if they are either aged under 19 or aged 19 or over and in the first year of their apprenticeship. Apprentices are entitled to the National Minimum (NMW) or National Living Wage (NLW) for their age if they are aged 19 or over and once they have completed the first year of their apprenticeship. More information is also available on the government web site www.gov.uk. Rising to £7,503.60 per annum (£3.90 per hour) in April 2019.
Job Purpose: To provide and maintain an efficient service to all areas under your control following best practice within the PRIDE ethos. To comply with food safety and health & safety legislation in all areas of responsibility. To offer service in a polite efficient manner, ensuring high standards of personal appearance and dress are maintained as laid down in the Team Member Handbook.
Vision: We are looking for an enthusiastic person who is naturally outgoing to work within our catering department which provides food for College students and staff as well as for commercial events including weddings. You will be involved in providing a high quality service to our students, staff and visitors to the campus. A flexible and positive can-do attitude is required and although experience is desirable it is not essential. As the leading land-based College in the area Kingston Maurward is ideally placed to promote food for the benefit of our students and the rural economy and we want our team members share our pride in what we do.
Status: This is a fixed term post for 15 / 18 months (dependant on the level of apprenticeship) or until the qualification has been achieved, whichever is the earlier.
