Hours: Working hours will be 37 per week based on a 5 day week rota to cover weekends and bank holidays
Salary: £7503.60 per annum (£3.90 per hour) paid in monthly installments. This is the National Apprenticeship rate of pay for apprentices if they are either aged under 19 or aged 19 or over and in the first year of their apprenticeship. Apprentices are entitled to the National Minimum (NMW) or National Living Wage (NLW) for their age if they are aged 19 or over and once they have completed the first year of their apprenticeship. Job Purpose: To support the day to day running of the animal resources, working with students and a range of animals from reptiles to livestock and small mammals and birds.
Vision: We are looking for a dedicated and motivated person who has an interest in working with animals and people, in an educational and commercial environment. The person will have some animal knowledge and be willing to learn more about the welfare, husbandry and handling of a range of animals and be willing to learn supervisory skills for our students.
Status: Fixed term post for 18 months, or until completion of the apprenticeship, whichever is the earlier.
