Whether you are intending to keep your own sheep, already are, or are just interested in the subject, this course will give you the necessary underpinning knowledge and practical skills to successfully look after them. The College Certificate will not involve workplace assessments.

Students will use the College farm’s flock of 400 breeding ewes. There will also be visits to other nearby farms.

Entry Requirements

Interest in sheep. Women who are pregnant cannot take part in any practical's that involve lambing or handling pregnant sheep. Anyone living with a pregnant woman must discuss health and safety precautions with the Tutor.
