Provides skills required for upholding best practice when using veterinary medicines for farm animals. Includes disposal of veterinary medicines and equipment, safe handling and methods of administration. This course is taught and assessed in the context of cattle but the skills and knowledge are applicable to all farm animal species. .
The course will be taught over 2 days.

Course Content

This course provides the student with the knowledge and skills that are required for upholding best practice when using veterinary medicines for farm animals. Although this is not yet a legal requirement, it equips the candidate to handle veterinary medicines competently and safely.

Entry Requirements

Some prior farm livestock handling experience is required Ability to study and work at a Level 2 standard
