Do you want to know more about growing food from your garden and creating an ornamental delight? An ideal way to gain solid practical experience and gain a respected qualification. Using the tutor’s expertise and the excellent college grounds, develop hands-on horticultural skills in a wide range of topics.

This course forms part of the suite of Level 2 RHS qualifications and is delivered in two attendance options. Either, choose one morning a week throughout the year, or select the four seasonal blocks of four days through the year. The weekly morning option can be combined with the Royal Horticultural Society theory course in the afternoon on the same day each week.

Ground preparation for seeding and planting
Practical seeds and plants in soil
Care and pruning of plants
Identification of plants

Entry Requirements

Although there are no formal entry requirements, students need to be literate and numerate. If you have any concerns please contact us Minimum age is 16 Tetanus protection is recommended.
