Level 2 Diploma in Retail Skills (QCF)
The qualification comprises of 3 sections:
- Diploma in Retail Skills covering a wide range of work based units for you to choose from includingdealing with deliveries, displaying stock, customer service, stock handling, health and safety, security, handling food products, handling money and payments, working effectively as a retail team member.
- Technical certificate iretail Knowledge providing a level of Knowledge of the whole retail Industry and covering topics such as selling, customer service, health and safety, security, payment process and stock handling.
Additional course content - Functional Skills in English and/or maths depending upon GCSE achievement.
Candidates need to be working in a retail environment to complete the apprenticeship with the whole apprenticeship being carried out in the workplace.
Employers are looking for applicants who have a keen interest in providing high levels of customer service and can be flexible with their skills and so this framework does not impose any entry restrictions.
Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Retail.
On completion of this apprenticeship, apprentices will be competent to works as a sales
assistant or stock room assistant;
Following further training and development, apprentices may wish to progress into level 3
jobs such as senior sales assistant or team supervisor;
Or apprentices may wish to move into specialist roles such as warehousing or cash office
