The Retail Apprenticeship is designed to provide apprentices with the knowledge, skills and understanding they require to carry out their job role and to support their future progression within the retail sector. Advanced Apprentices will train as Senior Sales Assistants, supervisors or team leaders.

Maintain availability of goods
Manage payment process
Produce staff rotas
Improve customer service
Working effectively as a retail team member
Employer Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) in the Logistics Industry
Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)
Functional Skills in English and/or maths depending upon GCSE achievement.

Delivery of this Apprenticeship Framework is in the workplace. No college attendance is required.

Entry Requirements

Candidates need to be working in a retail environment to complete the apprenticeship with the whole apprenticeship being carried out in the workplace. Employers are looking for applicants who have a keen interest in providing high levels of customer service. You will be required to find suitable relevant employment. Advanced Apprentices should be working at a Supervisory/Team Leader level.
