City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ in Occupational Health and Safety

Course Content

If you are involved in health and safety issues at work, even though it may not be your main job, this qualification is designed for you.

The course covers developing safety procedures, managing risk assessments and promoting a positive health and safety culture and consists of five mandatory units:
Reduce risks to health and safety
Develop safety procedures
Monitor procedures
Promote a positive health and safety culture
Risk assessment.

Plus two optional units from the following:
Investigate accidents / incidents
Ensure actions protect the environment
Review health and safety procedures in workplaces
Supervise learners in the workplace.

Entry Requirements

Level 2 or 3 Award in Health and Safety recommended.
