Course Content

This 10 week course is specifically designed for the first time horse owner, parents who look after their childrens' ponies, potential owners or anyone who has a love of horses. It provides a straightforward and uncluttered guide to the care and management of the horse in a fun and informal setting.
The course is a mixture of classroom based theory sessions with some practical sessions at Manor Stables working with our horses.

Entry Requirements

An interest in horses! Minimum age for this course is 14 years old. Tetanus protection is recommended.

This is the first of three Kingston Maurward College progressive horse knowledge and care courses run at Kingston Maurward College. This is a vocational interest course. Content of the course links well with many aspects of the BHS Stage 1 exam.
