The Intermediate Level Apprenticeship in Leisure Operations is designed for those individuals who are either already employed in the holiday park industry and wish to gain new knowledge and skills or who are looking to enter the industry and further progress in their careers.

As each park is different the qualification offers a wide choice of optional units as well as the core essentials, which include managing health and safety, customer service, team leading and employment rights and responsibilities.

All parts of the training are undertaken at the learner’s place of work. The assessor/trainer will visit the workplace regularly to carry out the training and to support the learner through the qualifications.

Course Content

The Intermediate Apprenticeship framework is made up of the following elements:
NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Operational Services (competence element – being able to do work tasks properly).
Level 2 Certificate in Leisure Operations (knowledge element)
Level 2 Award in Employment Awareness
Functional Skills Level 1 in English and maths.

Entry Requirements

GCSEs including English and maths OR Functional skills are desirable. You will need a keen interest in a career in this subject, be willing to learn new skills and undertake practical tasks. You will be required to find suitable relevant employment. Recent Park Industry experience is desirable.
