CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering
In particular the programme aims to enable students to work in a safe, healthy and hygienic manner and contribute towards improving food hygiene standards within an organisation's policy.
The course syllabus is broad âˆ’ it sets out the principles of food safety and hygiene. We also endeavour to tailor the syllabus to the background of the student groups.This course has replaced CIEH Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene.
Final assessment is by means of a 30 question multiple choice examination lasting one hour. The exam is available in 3 disciplines: Catering, Manufacturing, Retail.
Minimum age for this course is 16 years. Tetanus protection is recommended.
