Whether you are looking for a career progression or a career change, or are a farmer or farm manager involved with the administration of a farming business, this course will be suitable for you. The teaching, using lectures and case studies, looks at the diverse roles of the rural business administrator and covers the essential records for finance and accounts, the employment of staff, together with the records required by crop and livestock legislation and assurance schemes.
The course consists of four units:
Preparation and maintenance of rural business accounts
Payroll, legal and management records for rural business staff
Legislative, farm assurance and production records for livestock
Legislative, farm assurance and production records for crops
Some knowledge of either rural businesses or administration
Other part-time agricultural courses. Level 3 Diploma / Extended Diploma in Agriculture (full-time)
Farm secretary / rural business administrator. Beneficial for a career as a farmer or farm manager.
