The 3 Star Canoe is a performance award for intermediate paddlers wishing to improve their skills - covering journeys, risk management, turning and controlling, capsize and much more. You should be above 2 Star ability and able to paddle in force 2-3 winds on moving water.

Course Content

The training will be spread over two days. Day 1 will be on site on KMC's lake, Day 2 - there will be a journey to experience some moving water off site.

Entry Requirements

Ability to swim 25 metres wearing a buoyancy aid Experience of paddling on three journeys in an open canoe Paddle above 2 Star ability in open canoe.
