Introduction

Course Title: Advanced Apprenticeship in Children & Young People’s Workforce
Course Code: PD060

The Children and Young People’s Workforce Apprenticeship gives you a fulfilling opportunity to work with children and young people. It ensures that childcare theory is put into practice whilst gaining an understanding into the ‘hows’ and ‘whys’ of their development. As an apprentice, the exact nature of your job role will depend on your employer.

The Advanced Apprenticeship enables you to work on your own initiative, plan and organise your own work and/or supervise others. For example, as a nursery nurse, playgroup leader or a child-minder working in your own home.
