The Advanced Apprenticeship in Leisure Management is designed for those who are already working in the sector and wish to gain new knowledge and skills to continue their professional development as well as for those who wish to enter the sector in a supervisory/managerial role.

As each park is different the qualification offers a wide choice of optional units as well as the core essentials, which include managing health and safety, customer service, team leading and employment rights and responsibilities.

All parts of the training are undertaken at the learner’s place of work. The assessor/trainer will visit the workplace regularly to carry out the training and to support the learner through the qualifications.

Course Content

The Advanced Apprenticeship framework is made up of the following elements:
NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Leisure Management (competence element – being able to do work tasks properly)
Level 3 Certificate in Leisure Management (knowledge element – gives the knowledge required to do the job)
English and maths skills will be developed.

Entry Requirements

GCSEs grade 9-4 or A*-C including English and maths OR Level 2 Functional skills. You will need a keen interest in a career in this subject, be willing to learn new skills and undertake practical tasks. You will be required to find suitable relevant employment. Recent Park Industry experience is desirable.
