Kingston Maurward has provided over 60 years of excellence within land- based and related subject areas and has some of the best facilities of any college in the country. We have a strong tradition of providing high quality training and an enviable record of supporting our students.
Whilst Kingston Maurward is funded from public money and supported through commercial activities, there is always more that can be done to add value to the education of students and help ensure the public facilities can be enjoyed by future generations.
The Kingston Maurward Foundation was established in 2009 to directly support Kingston Maurward College and its students.
The aims of the College Charitable Foundation are to enrich, preserve and improve the unique Kingston Maurward experience in education and heritage and to aid and support the development of the facilities for future students and the wider community for many years to come.
It aims to help the college move closer to its vision of excellence and achieve a real match with the needs of business and the community, whilst preserving the traditional skills and crafts of the countryside, training people who will be happy to stay in the West Country and pass their knowledge on to others.
We know these are difficult times, so if you are unable to help us now, please consider leaving a legacy to the College. This is a lasting, effective and tax-efficient way of helping after allowing for your current commitments.
So far the Foundation has:
• raised funds that have enabled the College to start a Pedigree Aberdeen Angus beef herd on the campus
• received charitable donations that have supported apprentice students who both train and work at the College
