What will it cost me?
For September 2012 the annual tuition fee for full time students enrolled on the first year of a Bournemouth University degree at KingstonMaurward College will be £6,000 and for the BScTop-Up Honours course £8,200.
However, if you enrolled on our related Foundation Degree in 2011 and progress straight away to our BSc Honours Top-Up course in Animal Behaviour & Welfare, you will be charged within the 2011 fee structure of £3,375 (plus the annual inflation increases as decided by the Government).

Tuition Fee Loan
At the start of each academic year, full- and part-timeUK / EU undergraduate students may take out a loan to contribute towards their annual tuition fee.
UK residents should apply through Student Finance Direct www.direct.gov.uk/studentfinance.
The Tuition Fee Loan is paid directly to the University by the Student Loans Company. Have a look on the website for more information on repayments. Please note that under the new 2012 charging scheme,Tuition Fee Loans are only paid back when you are earning over £21,000 a year and the payments willbe at 9% of the income above £21,000; for example at an income level of £25,000 a year the repayments will typically be around £7 a week. Loans and Grants for Living Costs Only full time students can get Maintenance Loans and Maintenance Grants for their living costs.
The maximum Maintenance Loan for new studentsstarting in September 2012 is:
● £3,875 if you live away from home and studyat a university or college outside London
● £2,750 if you live at homeYou can also apply for :
● a full Maintenance Grant of £3,250 if yourhousehold income is £25,000 or under
● a partial Maintenance Grant if your house hold income is between £25,000 and £42,600 These loans and grants are paid into your bank account at the start of each term, once you’ve registered on your course.
You may be eligible for a bursary directly from Bournemouth University but please check their website under Future Students as this has yet to beconfirmed.
