Venue hire includes exclusive use of all of the rooms within the main house for the duration of your reception and evening function. The ground floor comprises of five rooms:
 
 

The Grand Entrance Hall

image: Grand HallThe Grand Entrance has a number of striking features and is an ideal room in which to greet your guests with reception drinks and canapés prior to your ceremony, breakfast or reception.
 
The hall is particularly impressive in winter or early spring when you and your guests can be welcomed with glasses of mulled wine beside a roaring log fire. Or for those warm summer days, drinks can be served outside on the terrace overlooking the gardens and lake.

 

The Pengelly Room

image: Pengelly RoomFormerly the music room, The Pengelly is elegantly decorated with hand painted Italian wall paper. Accessed via the Grand Entrance Hall it benefits from a prime view of the rolling lawn and five-acre lake.

The Whatmoor Room

Accessed via The Pengelly Room, the equally beautiful Whatmoor Room has views of both the lake and the ornamental pond. A great space for a children’s room with plasma screen, a casino or just as a quiet space for sitting and talking.

The Old Library

Formerly used as a study, The Old Library is ideal for a civil ceremony. Panelled in solid oak with a fireplace surrounded by bookshelves, it has a beautiful oak floor and a scumball finished carved ceiling.

The Conference Hall

image: Conference HallSuitable for larger functions. The Hall is impressively transformed with an inner marquee lining. It creates the impression of an outdoor event with the convenience of being indoors. A choice of pelmet colours are available to complement your colour scheme.
