Hospitality
The Conference Suite comprises of five rooms: the Grand Entrance Hall, Pengelly Room, Whatmoor Room, Old Library and Conference Hall.
Grand Entrance Hall
The Grand Entrance Hall has a number of striking features. Its high stuccoed ceiling, central chandelier and twin marble fireplaces make it an ideal room in which your guests can be greeted with reception drinks and canapes prior to a meal. For larger functions this room may be used in conjunction with the Pengelly Room before your guests move down to the Conference Hall for dinner. It is particularly impressive in winter or early spring when you and your guests can be welcomed with glasses of mulled wine before a roaring log fire. On a warm summer day reception drinks may be served outside on the terrace overlooking the gardens and lake.
Pengelly Room
The Pengelly Room, formerly the music room, is elegantly decorated with hand painted Italian wall paper. It is entered by the Grand Entrance Hall and has a prime view of the rolling lawn and five-acre lake.
Whatmoor Room
Adjoining The Pengelly Room, the equally beautiful Whatmoor Room has a view of both the lake and the ornamental pond.
Old Library
The Old Library, formerly used as a study, is ideal for a civil ceremony or as a cloakroom if the British weather should let you down. Panelled in solid oak with a fireplace surrounded by bookshelves, it has a beautiful oak floor and a scumball finished carved ceiling.
Conference Hall
The Conference Hall is suitable for larger functions. The Hall is impressively transformed with an inner marquee lining. It creates the impression of an outdoor event with all the conveniences of being indoors. A choice of pelment colours are available to complement your colour scheme.
