A series of morning workshops over seven months where you can pick and mix topics which can contribute to your Continuing Professional Development whilstenjoying the fabulous venue of Kingston Maurward College.

Each workshop is stand alone, and if you sign up to all seven you will get the last one free.

Workshops are open to all local businesses so you can benefit from a wonderful, informal networking opportunity.

January 27th

Sales & Marketing

Are you selling or marketing? How to analyse what works and what doesn’t for you and your business? Introduction to Marketing using social media.

February 24th

Leadership & Teambuilding

Even if we are a sole trader, knowing about our ‘team type’ means that we can get the best partners for our projects; and if we manage others we can help them work more effectively. Introduction to managing poor performance.

March 24th

Motivation & Delegation

How are you motivated? How do your colleagues/suppliers/customers like to be motivated? Find out more effective motivational techniques. Delegation is a challenge for many of us – learn how to work with your delegation style to benefit your business.

April 28th Customer Care & Assertiveness

Meeting our customers’ needs, understanding that sometimes we have to turn down a sale – yes really – and how being gently assertive can build good relationships with customers.

May 19th

Managing Change

Poorly managed organisational change costs us money, and it costs us and our teams in terms of health and wellbeing. This workshop helps you understand the process and manage your changes effectively.

June 23rd

Managing People

Building on Leadership & Teambuilding, looking at what makes us effective as managers and build on these behaviours.

July 14th

Time Management

What is this resource called time and how can you have more of it? This workshop looks at ‘time bandits’, helps you identify yours and discover how you can overcome them.

Upon arrival at 9:00am you will enjoy tea/coffee and biscuits with fellow delegates.

The mid-morning break gives you further opportunities to network whilst enjoying our freshly cooked pastries, and at lunch time you can sample our Casterbridge Lunch – with locally sourced foods – and continue your discussions.

Kingston Maurward College Certificates will be achieved on completion of the course. If you are intending to use the workshops as part of your Professional Bodies CPD requirements, please check suitability with them first.
